Gender Inequality
This blog is about gender inequality. many people face this all over the world.
Gender inequality is the social process by which men and women are not treated equally.
GENDER INEQUALITY IN EDUCATION
Women and girls in some families are not allowed to go to a school and choose their courier option. They are only made to do household work. In some schools boys are allowed to play sports like football, martial arts, basketball and girls are made to play soft indoor sports like chess, carrom, cards, etc. The school does not have proper furniture for girls. Girls are made to sit on floor and boys are made to sit on proper furniture. girls are not provided with proper sanitation facilities. people say that boys are more better than girls in math and science. 44% of women are undergraduate. because of child marriages girls are not able to complete their education. I think people should change their mindset.
GENDER INEQUALITY IN RELIGION AND CULTURE
In Indian culture women are given high power like goddess Laxmi, Durga, Sarasvati and Parvati but still lack of religious freedom cause gender inequality. A organization has proved that women are more religious than men but still they are discriminated. If women are now taking strides in other professions, then why can't they in the spiritual sphere. Also mostly the temples are maintained my men priest. citing scholars say that in ancient India women also took part in religious activities. but not in modern India. Gender ratio which is the number of females per one thousand males is 933 for all the religious groups.
GENDER INEQUALITY IN WORK PLACE
There are a greater number of women working today but they are paid less. Women continue to occupy fewer jobs and sectors than men. there is a glass ceiling that prohibits women from reaching executive posts. boys get a higher post than girls in the office and girls don't get promotion also. Globally, according to ILO data, fewer than one third of managers are women.
women and girls don't have their part in fathers property only the boy gets the property. women want their part and not dowry.
